Strolling and Impossible Weight Gain

We took Graham on his first stroller ride the other day, but first we had to get him all decked out:

We then did the strolling, though as you can see he didn't take in a whole lot of the world outside his stroller:

When we popped the top, he didn't seem to excited about the whole ordeal:

Yesterday we took him to the doctor for his first visit. He did great. We did, however, discover that Graham can eat a lot. When he was first weighed it looked like he was now 10 lbs 4 oz, which means he gained 2lbs 11oz over his birth weight, after two and a half weeks of life. At this point many babies are just now geting back to their birth weight.

When our doctor, a wonderful man from our church, came in he looked at the weight gain and said, "That's impossible, we'll have to weigh him again." We did the whole rigamarole of the exam, Graham peed on the nurse and myself, and then pooped, and then we did another weigh in. Same result. So, Graham is in a class of his own when it comes to weight gain, a good thing, we hope. He's also grown almost two inches. Go Graham!
Finally, we'll leave you with one of our favorite pictures so far. We took Graham to Junior High Youth Group last week, and he seemed to like it. He took a nap in this unbearably precious position on Mom's shoulder. It seems contrived, but we promise, he just likes to pose!

What a little champ! Maybe I should bring him my sumo calendar for further inspiration?
